Maternity Health Insurance

How To Find Maternity Health Insurance

chickeneggsPeople who are looking for some sort of maternity health insurance generally fall into two categories. They are planning for a future pregnancy, and they are concerned about the cost of having a healthy baby. Or they are already pregnant, and wonder how they can get some help with doctor’s visits and hospital costs. Some of these people may have some coverage, but it does not cover pregnancy very well, or they may have no health insurance at all.

Mandatory Auto Insurance Laws

Mandatory Auto Insurance Laws in Every US State

carwreckWith all the talk about future plans for mandatory health insurance, it seems like a good time to examine something similar that we already have in place. Every US state requires “proof of financial responsibility” in order to legally operate a vehicle. For most of us, that proof means that we must carry our state required minimum auto insurance policy.

Of course, most of us actually have more coverage than the minimum liability policy. Why? Well, our auto loan company may require it, we may need it for a business car, or we may just think it is a safe thing to do.

Health Insurance Companies Ready to Support Health Care Reform

Yes, We Will!

businessmanWhile it might have seemed that health insurance companies were actively fighting the new health reform legislation, and that they stood to benefit by the failure of reform, they are now getting on board by agreeing to do their best to make the plans work. And despite what many critics say, this is not a government run health insurance plan. It is still a plan which relies upon private health insurance companies.

The plan just requires health insurance companies to accept children with pre-existing conditions right away, expands state high risk programs for everybody, and then moves towards getting insurers to accept adults with pre-existing conditions. In addition, tax credits will help more people afford health insurance.

Health Care Reform Bill : Where Are We Now?

Health Care Reform Bill

sicksmileSo where are we, and President Obama, and the US Congress, on the health reform bill? I guess it is true that in order to understand the present, we have to take a look at the past. Right now, the whole health care reform thing seems pretty hard to understand no matter what we know, but let’s take a step back anyway.
