Can an Insurance Agent Be A Bleeding Heart Liberal?
Well I admit that it is rare to find a liberal insurance agent, but we are out there. But believe me, if any agents are making their living from selling health insurance, they are just as frustrated with the current state of US health insurance as their clients are. I mean, we want to write a policy for everybody who calls us, visits us, or honestly, so much as looks at us!
Low Cost Individual Health Insurance
I went through a period where over half of the business I submitted to health insurance companies was getting declined. Now look at me. I spent the money to advertise, contact prospects, outlined their options, and then looked like a darn fool when the insurance company declined my potential clients. A few of them let me try again with another company, but most of them were ticked off. And since they did not have any representatives of insurance companies around to blame, they pretty much took it out on me.
Anyway, all states do have a high risk pool and many counties have some sort of health plan too. But these plans have their own problems. So….. If I was elected queen, I would start by helping everybody be able to obtain health insurance at a sensible price. Then I’d see how many of the 47 million uninsured were left, and start tackling that problem. One thing at a time…. but yeah, I’m a lib. So what?
