No, $1 does not buy life insurance. Sorry. The dollar you send in with your completed application is an advertising gimmick. Of course, if you application is accepted, and you complete the first 1 - 3 months of your policy, you will receive a notice of a much higher rate. Many people cancel after the trial period, and companies who advertise the $1 buys life insurance — and you know who you are — expect that.
